We have been experiencing issues with the public printers (both in Periodicals and the Main Copy area). The Systems Department is aware of the issues and is in the process of working on it; the issues seem to stem from an assignment where students have to print Personality Test results.
Chris just informed me that if the students print from Google Chrome, they shouldn't have a problem; however, the print job will look slightly different from what appears on the screen. If students use Internet Explorer, the printer will have issues and will need to be shut off and turned back on.
Just wanted to let everyone know in case this happens while you're at the desk.
So far it seems the best work around is to make sure they print from Chrome.
