We have an issue with Texan Cards, Sirsi, and our laptop machines that keeps popping up.
On the laptop machines, students are swiping their cards, entering their passwords correctly, and receiving a message that says "User Not Found." A similar message is coming up when students use their Texan Cards at the circulation desk, both for payment and to check out materials. It's been determined that this is a vendor problem and is being worked on.
If a student comes to the reference desk with an issue involving the laptop machines, verify what error message they are receiving. If it is definitely, "User Not Found," apolpgize for the inconvenience and let them know the problem is being addressed.
There is not an immediate fix, so they won't be able to check out a laptop. As usual, they are always welcome to use one of the desktops in the interim.
